I am hoping you will find my "web site" user friendly and will be able to easily locate numerous bits of information about properties, places to stay, valley events, etc in and around our beautiful San Luis Valley located south central Colorado.


As a graduate of Saguache High School (AND, we won't be discussing what year that was....LOL), I am very familiar with the San Luis Valley.  And, while I have seen it as cold as minus 40 degrees below zero, the winters are usually much warmer and the summers are fabulous!  And solar power, is no longer for just for the off the grid properties. Several homes/businesses throughout our valley are currently utilizing the Sun's magnificent rays through various types of solar collector systems as the main power sources for their properties.  The San Luis Valley has an estimated 350 plus days a year of actual sunshine! 


And, never doubt the power of Mother Nature, as she has created the natural wonder of The Great Sand Dunes National Park and Preserve......a mere 30 square miles of dunes located 35 miles northeast of Alamosa, Colorado. A must see attraction that all will love......especially May and early June when the Medano Creek is flowing through the dunes.


Some more trivia, the SLV is geographically located in south central Colorado.  It is approximately 50 wide and 100 miles long and encompasses six counties which include Alamosa, Conejos, Costilla, Rio Grande, Saguache, and Mineral.  The cities/towns of Alamosa, Antonito, Blanca, Capulin, Center, Conejos, Creede, Crestone, Del Norte, Ft Garland, Hooper, La Jara, Manassa, Monte Vista, Mosca, Saguache, San Acacio, San Luis, Sanford, Villa Grove, etc are scattered throughout the region.
